Senior Chef de Partie – Spikes

We are currently recruiting for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and hard-working Senior Chef de Partie to join our Food & Beverage Team. Candidates should display a high-level skill set and it is imperative they are flexible and able to work a variety of shifts to suit our business demands. This is a very demanding role and we are looking for someone who has a keen eye for detail and who takes pride in their work.

Loch Lomond provides a wide variety of food services within its F&B Department and your role will require you to fulfil duties dependent on the business levels, shift patterns and experience. This can range from our A la carte and buffet breakfasts to a busy lunch & dinner service in our Spikes restaurant which offers a Gastro-pub dining experience. We also cater for bespoke Golf events and private dinners at our exclusive accommodation lodges.

The basic job function is to take full responsibility for the running of a particular section in the kitchen. This will include menu planning by means of specials for the days business, stock control including an understanding of cost of sales within the department and a firm compliance to environmental health and work ethic during shifts. This position will also require you to work closely with the front of house team to ensure exceptional and seamless service.

This is a full-time position with 5 shifts over 7 (Monday to Sunday) with the added benefit of one weekend as month given as rest days.

Desired skills and experience:

  • You must be passionate about providing exceptional food and possess a real attention to detail.
  • You must have relevant experience in a hotel or restaurant environment where the emphasis was on top quality fresh produce sourced locally.
  • You will be ambitious, hard-working and have a real desire for career progression.
  • The ideal candidate will have a full knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety and COSHH and be qualified to at least NVQ level 2 in professional cookery
  • You will be asked to work as part of a team as well as being able to take your own initiative and work individually.
