Just half an hour from Glasgow, Loch Lomond Golf Club is often described as one of the most beautiful places on earth, and where its Members can enjoy golf, luxury accommodation, fine dining, country pursuits and a luxurious spa. As part of our team, you will look after a discerning membership spanning over 30 countries worldwide.

Loch Lomond provides a wide variety of food services within its F&B Department and your role will require you to fulfil duties dependent on the business levels, shift patterns and experience. The basic job function is to take full responsibility for the running of a particular section in the kitchen.

Hours: Annualised hours based on a 42hr week. Hours worked after that are banked and taken when the Club is running reduced business levels during the winter season, including being closed at Christmas.

Contract: Pemanent

Salary: £26,160pa plus monthly gratuity payment

Bedrooms: 54 rooms over 7 lodges throughout the estate.

Restaurants: We have a variety of outlets serving food on site. These consist of a fine dining restaurant serving an evening tasting menu and an A La Carte menu. Both menus are seasonal and where possible local produce are used. Our popular Spikes bar offers a gastro pub type fayre, and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and is at the heart of the Club. We also have a bespoke 9th tee operation from our purpose-built Halfway House. Finally, our bespoke eight-bedroom Colquhoun Lodge which is designed to be a destination venue and is set to cater for exclusive use parties.

When this facility is booked for exclusive use, the lodge will have its own host who will be there to meet and greet, serve breakfast and dinner and to assist with any Member/guest queries.

The lodge will also have its own Chef for breakfast and dinner.  Members and guests can watch in comfort as their dinner is being prepared in their own private lodge.

Our kitchen team have created bespoke menus for the lodge, including a full choice pantry list, an informal dining option, a formal dining option, BBQ menu and pizza selection menu.

Job role:

This is an excellent opportunity for someone to join an existing and highly professional team. The role comprises of preparing food for our popular Spikes bar and Halfway House. The menu is A La Carte and often fast paced so good organisational skills and a calm temperament are needed. Hours are flexible and can be tailored for the right candidate. A good skill set, and general understanding of food production is vital in order to help chefs in their daily tasks. The chosen candidate will be expected to consistently push the standards of food production.

Desired skills and experience:

  • You must be passionate about providing fantastic food at all times
  • You must have relevant experience in a hotel or restaurant environment where the emphasis was on top quality fresh produce
  • You will be hard-working
  • The ideal candidate will have a full knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety and COSHH and be qualified to at least NVQ level 1 or equivalent
  • You will be asked to work as part of a team as well as being able to take your own initiative and work individually
  • This is a fast-paced environment so a good temperament and calm nature whilst under pressure is expected
  • You must be approachable, friendly, hardworking, and have previous experience in similar operations to the same standards
