To be responsible for the running of all aspects of the Kitchen Retreat Food & Beverage Service. Ensuring that high service standards and member expectations are met and exceeded on all occasions. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the Kitchen Retreat is set for service each day.
  • Ensure that the Bar is stocked and set for service each day.
  • Ensure full knowledge of the member profile and guests where possible including allergies and dietary requirements.
  • Carry out pre service checklist to ensure that all facilities within Kitchen Retreat are in working order such, coffee machine, water dispenser & Retreat television. 
  • Meet and greet members dining at The Kitchen Retreat in a polite and courteous manner.
  • Coordinate and provide the food service from Kitchen to table ensuring exceptional and consistent level of food service.
  • Ensure you are fully aware of all billing requirements for each member/guest using the shared billing spreadsheet and ensure correct charging is processed with Spa Reception. 
  • Carry out full clear down after every dining service ensuring that Kitchen Retreat is clean and presentable and re set. 
  • Inform immediate supervisor/manager regarding any complaints that may arise. 
  • Responsible for ensuring that all stock and supplies are requested in a timely fashion and correct stock levels maintained and stored under optimum conditions.
  • Ensuring service standard, member expectations and consistency within Kitchen Retreat are maintained.
  • Responsible for regular stocktaking of all beverages. 
  • Maintain personal time keeping, appearance and hygiene throughout employment. 

Health and Safety 

  • Work in a safe manner, seeking to minimise hazards to ensure the safety of other members of staff, members, guests and visitors. 
  • Be familiar with all Health and Safety procedures within Kitchen Retreat. 
  • Ensure that you follow all health and safety SOP procedures including all opening and closing checks. 
  • Be fully aware of Fire Evacuation Procedure. 
  • Ensure that any Health and Safety issues are brought to the attention of your Line Manager or Night Manager immediately.
