We are delighted to announce that we are now recruiting for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Head Waiter for Fine Dining & Events to assist in the management of all aspects of Food & Beverage service delivery Loch Lomond Golf Club’s Fine Dining restaurant, Weiskopf’s Grill and all Member and Corporate events.

Loch Lomond Golf Club is all about exceeding expectations with our high standard of food and service offered to our members. The Head Waiter would be responsible for the running of all aspects of the Fine Dining and Events Food & Beverage service delivery for Loch Lomond Golf Club. This role is best suited to a proactive Head Waiter with experience in AA rosette restaurants, who is hands-on, has an eye for detail, passion for food and people and has worked in a supervisory capacity within a prestigious environment. The business requires someone with energy and motivation that is flexible, leads by example and offers faultless service to the members.

You will be asked to work as part of the wider F&B team as well as being able to use your own initiative and work individually.  At Loch Lomond our Head Waiter needs to have excellent customer service skills and be well organised and it is part of the Head Waiter’s role to continually coach team members to achieve their maximum potential.  It is essential that the Head Waiter has the ability to lead from the front and is viewed as a respected member of the management team.

This is a very demanding role and we are looking for someone who has great attention to detail and takes pride in their work but who is able to work at speed and under a high degree of pressure. 

Duties & Responsibilities: -

  • Ensure an exceptional and consistent level of service is delivered to Members and guests
  • Maintain a high profile in all relevant service areas, especially during busy periods
  • Drive the development of an innovative and evolving approach to service, focusing on attention to detail, speed of service, and proactive, positive member interaction
  • Help develop and deliver a department training plan to support the above
  • Ensure all areas are opened and fully operational at scheduled times and that exceptional service is maintained throughout
  • Ensuring operational and service checklists are completed thoroughly, with attention to detail focusing on service led issues
  • Experience with IT systems for daily events and functions
  • This role requires nothing less than excellent leadership, communication and written skills and a dynamic personality with presence.

Qualifications and Experience: -

  • Excellent knowledge of food and wine, able to make recommendations to guests confidently and appropriately
  • You must have previous experience in a similar style of Restaurant/Hotel
  • Extensive knowledge of the F&B industry would be desirable
  • Immaculate presentation, outgoing, excellent communication and customer service skills are required for this highly visible role.
  • A “can do” attitude, able to run this operation to military precision at all times.
  • You will have a hands-on approach, a positive attitude and the ability to train and motivate those around you, as well as the confidence to deal with some discerning  high profile clientele.

You must hold a valid UK driving licence and have the means of getting to and from Loch Lomond Golf Club without using public transport due to our rural location.
