I used to come to Loch Lomond Golf Club regularly to watch the tournaments, so after completing my greenkeeping qualifications 10 months ago I was very happy to start working here. My first job was at a course on Arran, working in a team of three people, so it’s a big change to be in a team of 40 here. However, all these different people have definitely taught me a lot.
Although the team is quite laid back we all work very hard. On the run up to the Barclay’s Scottish Open we were working non-stop for two weeks, but there was such a good buzz around the team that it flew by.
The best perk at Loch Lomond? Getting to use the gym facilities during the winter for only £20 a month. Brilliant.
