It’s fantastic to work at Loch Lomond as it’s one of the most beautiful places in Scotland – it even looks good in the rain. Scenery apart, Loch Lomond is a really interesting place to work. There are so many areas of business contained in the same place. One minute I’ll be involved in organising The Barclays Scottish Open, and the next taking minutes at a Senior Management Meeting followed by arranging competitions and special deals for our staff golf club.
In the lead up to the Barclay’s Scottish Open last year I volunteered to help the Green’s Crew prepare the course for the tournament and this winter I worked with them again on course maintenance, driving tractors and shovelling sand. Everybody thinks I’m nuts, but I love it! My previous job was with a legal firm and it’s safe to say that there is far more variety here.
