When the opportunity to work at Loch Lomond Golf Club came up, I jumped at it! Having worked in various HR Departments in Glasgow City Centre, it was an easy decision to leave the hustle and bustle behind and join the team at Loch Lomond, where I now work in the most beautiful setting you could ask for... no more fighting for a seat on the train, I just have to dodge the pheasants that amble about the estate!
I work in the HR Department, which consists of me as HR Advisor, and an HR Director. This allows me plenty of scope to get involved in all kinds of work and activities that you might not get the chance to do in a larger team. I do everything from paying staff and offering advice, to organising recruitment open days and setting up accommodation for staff, from further a field, if they require it.
I can definitely say this is the friendliest place I have worked and time here just flies by, not only because there is lots to do so I am always busy, but because I really enjoy what I do. There are also great perks for staff with many social events and I love the fact you can use the gym and spa facilities. We all work hard as a team but in turn, we are rewarded with more than just our pay!
