Cameron Bone

Graduate Management Trainee

The graduate programme at Loch Lomond immediately caught my eye due to the fantastic reputation of the course and mystery of the club within the golfing world. The programme to date has been challenging and exciting. I started in the food and beverage department where I advanced my waitering skills working in the restaurant and at events. My next rotation was in the golf department where I gained an insight into the clubs retail operation and assisted with organising and facilitating the smooth running of events. Since then I have spent a short time in the accounts department, maintenance team, central reservations, spa team and even the greens crew. At the moment I am working on a project as part of the I.T. department to improve integrated business systems.  It is important to me that I have experienced gradually increased responsibility, with my next role as acting bar supervisor.  In just one year I have been lucky enough to be given opportunities and experience that people already working in the field wait a long time to be offered. This is the first year of the Graduate Programme and the training and opportunity I have been given have been far superior to what is offered by other businesses which have been running Graduate programmes for years.
